With more than 17 years' experience in retail sourcing, buying and product development for large and smaller companies, Theresa brings in-depth knowledge to enterprises in developing countries.Theresa’s passion is to support and encourage young talented entrepreneurs to make sustainable products that can have a long term impact. She is currently the Country Coordinator for Fashion Revolution Day in Nepal and focuses on building a network sharing local platforms, developing sustainable and transparent supplier chains, and attracting overseas buyers. She also owns Vintage Himalayas, recycling old saris turning them into contemporary styles and produces home accessories using traditional Nepali techniques.
Theresa has worked in the Netherlands, Denmark, United Kingdom, India, Greece, Turkey and China focusing on sourcing and design of commercial products from social responsible producers. She worked with USAID in Moldova to enhance and improve the apparel and craft industries. She was previously a buyer for John Lewis in UK and a business owner of a premium soft furnishing company. She also works as an inter-mediatory to tailor BTB to with Scandinavian companies and producers.

Theresa has given master classes to design and pattern-making students in several countries. She works with students to improve commercial understanding and minimising the gap between industry requirements and students' skill sets. She also provides in-house training to designers in collection building and market analysis.
Theresa is leading workshops for producers to enhance company portfolios, identify market gaps, and enable effectively communicate with overseas buyers.
She also delivers training on price setting, margin calculations and negotiations skills in the garment and accessory sector. On several occasions, she has accompanied producers from developing countries to international trade shows.
